Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Hold nationality outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland, or Surinam.
  2. Be eligible for a Dutch entry visa and residence permit.
  3. Have no prior enrollment in degree-seeking higher education in the Netherlands (exceptions apply to exchange programs).
  4. Be under 35 years of age as of September 1, 2025.
  5. Demonstrate academic excellence with a minimum GPA of 7.5/10 in prior studies.
  6. Have applied for a master’s program at UM starting in the 2025–2026 academic year.

Application Process

  1. Step 1: Apply to a master’s program at Maastricht University via Studielink. Upon acceptance, a student ID is issued.
  2. Step 2: Submit the scholarship application using the Maastricht University scholarship portal.
  3. Step 3: Upload all required documents and ensure compliance with guidelines.
  4. Deadline: February 1, 2025 (23:59 CET).
